Page Builder Sandwich

Opening a small business website? Start from one of 20 free kits

New businesses can pick a ready website kit for a restaurant, clinic, law firm, shop or charity and import it in one click, then change any part of it. The free plugin includes 20 kits and 34 section patterns. Page Builder Sandwich keeps the result as normal WordPress blocks and flags accessibility problems as you edit, so a first site starts out usable for every visitor.

Starting out online can feel like a lot, and Page Builder Sandwich is a WordPress page builder that keeps things straightforward. It stores your work as ordinary WordPress blocks instead of shortcodes or a private format, so WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can keep reading your pages whatever you add later. Build in the normal block editor, or open Sandwich Studio, a full-screen visual editor with layers, undo history, a command palette and keyboard shortcuts.

Every page pulls in styles only for the blocks it uses, served from your own uploads folder, with neutral class names and no generator tags. One measured test page grew by +0.5 kB and sent 0 requests to other companies' servers. As you build, a built-in accessibility checker points out missing alternative text and weak colour contrast, and it comes with the plugin at no charge.

The no-cost plugin offers 44 blocks and 20 website kits. Pro brings 68 further blocks and 8 further kits, a form builder, popups, A/B tests, a theme builder, a design system, a WooCommerce store builder and imports from Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery and Figma. AI agents such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor can create pages via the MCP server and its 150 tools.

It has been a WordPress page builder since 2015, and version 6 is rebuilt from scratch. Zinn Digital® Ltd develops, sells and supports it, and Neil Lock builds it.

Neighbours ask

Does Page Builder Sandwich cost anything to start?

No. The plugin at no charge never expires and comes with 44 blocks, 20 website kits, Sandwich Studio and the accessibility checker. Page Builder Sandwich Pro layers on 68 extra blocks, forms, popups, A/B tests and a WooCommerce store builder, and you can try it for 14 days without entering a card.

In what format are my pages stored?

They are kept as regular WordPress blocks rather than shortcodes or a private format. That means WordPress, your theme and your SEO plugin can all read them, and the content of a page remains visible even after the plugin is deactivated.

Is there a speed cost to using Page Builder Sandwich?

Styles are loaded per page for just the blocks that page contains, and they come from your own site. Testing one page showed an extra +0.5 kB, 0 requests to other companies' servers, and a Lighthouse score of 100 on phones.

Is it possible to bring over pages from Elementor or Divi?

Yes, using Pro. It turns pages made in Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder and WPBakery into blocks, includes a report listing anything worth checking, and leaves the original pages untouched.
