About Government & Public Sector
This is the corner of New Biz Launches for businesses that serve the public side of town. Some are young software firms helping a council move a paper form online. Others are independent outfits that help neighbours find a record, understand a legal step or reach a local service without a long queue.
Browse the four subcategories to narrow things down, or stay on this page to see everything in one place. Each listing shows what the business does, where it works and who it is built for, so you can tell quickly whether it suits a town hall, a firm of solicitors or a resident with a question. Use the filters to focus on what matters to you, and sort by community votes if you want to see what others rate. Newest launches come first by default, which makes this a handy place to spot who has just opened their doors.

Government & Public Sector: questions answered
- What kinds of business belong in Government & Public Sector?
- Businesses whose main customer or purpose sits in public life: software for local authorities, tools that search or manage official records, services connected to courts and justice, and products that help people reach public services. If your work is mostly general business admin, another category will fit better.
- How do I choose between the subcategories?
- Pick the one that describes your main customer or task. GovTech suits technology sold to public bodies. Public records & registries covers looking up or maintaining official data. Courts & justice is for legal process work. Public services covers help reaching everyday services. You choose one main category when you submit.
- How do I get my business listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts your profile from that site, then you check and edit every field before anything goes live. Your main category is included free, and a free listing joins a queue of about 1-2 weeks, while a paid launch costs $5.
- Can I appear in more than one category?
- Yes. Every listing has one main category, included free. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5. This helps if your business truly spans, say, GovTech and public records, and a visitor could reasonably look in either place.
- How are listings ordered, and can votes be bought?
- Listings appear newest first by default, and visitors can switch to sorting by community votes. Votes can never be bought, so the vote order reflects what visitors actually think. When comparing options, check who the product is built for, where it operates and how clearly the business explains its work.
