No. Each pass is verified locally on the device doing the scan with no live server call at scan time. Internet is only optional for features like cross-device sync.

Yes. Put your team on the same active team and connection type (Wi-Fi when all devices share the venue network, or Direct when they don't), and redemptions sync across doors.
