What is a hosted word?
A hosted word is each word in your base language texts and in every translation, with each language counting separately. For example, a key with base text "Sign in" (2 words) and German "Anmelden" (1 word) uses 3 hosted words total.
What are MT credits?
For machine translation providers like Google Translate, AWS, and DeepL, one credit equals approximately one translated character. For AI Translator and AI Playground, credits are based on LLM token usage.
Do you offer a completely free cloud plan?
Yes. When you sign up for Tolgee, you automatically receive the Free plan, which is limited by the number of hosted words, seats and MT credits.
What happens when I exceed my hosted words limits?
Word-based plans auto-upgrade by default. If you add content exceeding your tier's limit, about 24 hours later you receive an email that your subscription will move to the higher tier at the end of your billing period. If you delete content and return under the limit before then, nothing changes.
