How do the leaderboards work?
Three ways launches are ranked on New Biz Launches, and how Launch of the Week winners are chosen.
Updated
Community rankings
The Community leaderboard shows launches ranked by votes from visitors like you. The more votes a launch gets, the higher it climbs. It's a straightforward measure of what neighbours recommend.
Paid Billboard ranking
The Billboard leaderboard is different: it's ranked by money contributed, with a minimum of $5. Each listing on this board is clearly marked as paid, so you can always tell the difference between community votes and paid placement.
Domain Rating board
The Domain Rating leaderboard ranks launches by their Ahrefs Domain Rating. You'll see the trend for each one—whether the rating's gone up, down, or stayed level—plus the dates we checked and when things last changed.
Launch of the Week
Every week (Monday to Sunday, UTC), the top 3 launches by community votes automatically win Launch of the Week badges. The badges are awarded after each week closes, and winners get an email to let them know they've been chosen by their neighbours.
Questions people ask
- What's the difference between the Community and Billboard boards?
- Community is ranked purely by votes from visitors. Billboard is a paid ranking based on money contributed, and it's clearly labelled as paid so there's no confusion.
- How often are Launch of the Week winners announced?
- Once a week, after Sunday closes (UTC). The top 3 launches by votes that week are awarded badges and notified by email.
- Where can I see Domain Rating trends?
- The Domain Rating leaderboard shows each launch's Ahrefs rating, the direction it's moved (up, down, or flat), and when we last checked and updated it.
