reTrek: the homepage

reTrek is a walking app where your real steps carry you along famous trails like the Camino de Santiago, Everest Base Camp, or the Inca Trail, or through story-driven quests where your choices shape the ending. Your everyday steps—commuting, walking the dog, going to the shop—all count toward progress. At milestones, short films unlock about the places you reach. You can walk solo, with friends as a team pooling steps, or race. The app works with Apple Health or Health Connect and integrates with fitness trackers like Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, and others. It includes achievements, a social feed, and weekly leaderboards. There are no ads, location tracking, or data sales.

Neighbours ask

How does reTrek track my walks?

reTrek doesn't track steps directly. It reads step and distance data from your phone's health hub—Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android. Your phone records steps on its own, and fitness trackers can also share their steps there. No separate app needs to stay open while walking.

Does it work offline?

Yes for walking. Your phone records steps locally whether online or not, and reTrek catches up on your progress next time you connect. Some content like milestone videos requires internet to load.

Will it drain my battery?

No noticeable drain. Your phone's built-in motion sensor and health hub do the step tracking, and they run all day. reTrek doesn't add a separate tracker on top.

What data does reTrek collect?

reTrek collects your email for your account, your name, and steps from Apple Health or Health Connect for your progress. Data is not sold or shared with advertisers.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel in the app at Settings → Account → Manage, or directly with your store. On iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play app → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep PRO until your current billing period ends.
